The Washington Freedom have reassembled as a semi-pro team and are practicing on a makeshift field in hopes that the WUSA, a women's professional soccer league that last saw the light of day in 2003, fulfills a promise to re-launch in 2008.
The group of children scream Die! Die! Die! as they touch the green, leafy plant with the tips of their fingers. Instantly, the plants leaves fold up like it has died. That is so cool, one of them says. Not just cool, but practical, according to Crafton Clift, a volunteer at the Naples Botanical Gardens.
